Background story: Csquared (C²) is a Malaysian music band made up of 4 members, each of them loves band music, they are inspired to learn new instruments and perform the songs that they love. They want to deliver the message where ‘Anyone can play music, and it’s never too late to start.’ The members some with music background, some without any experience; they came together to form this unique group, and they want to share this journey with people out there who are afraid to take the first step, and encourage everyone to play music and do what they love.
Brief: I was tasked to design a logo that consist of the band name Csquared (C²), with a quirky flair that brings out the members’ fun disposition and their instruments together.
Approach: I am inspired to create the logo design in a wholesome and circular shape, where all the instruments are placed together inside the logo, while keeping the overall vibe as clean as possible.
Challenge & Solution: The biggest challenge of this project would be simplifying the logo, as the instruments are all quite complicated in nature. But I tried my best to keep the strings and keyboard as simple and as streamlined as possible so that it is easy to the eyes, without losing it’s uniqueness.
